On June 7, 2025, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® – Xi Nu Omega Chapter proudly partnered with the Monarch Awards Foundation, Inc. to support the highly anticipated Elements of Taste Food Truck Festival—a dazzling celebration of flavor, rhythm, and unity.

Held on the grounds of Christ Universal Temple, this unforgettable event brought together families, friends, and food lovers from across Chicago for a day filled with mouthwatering bites, soulful performances, and a stunning showcase of classic cars. The energy was electric, the atmosphere was joyful, and the support for African American-owned businesses was deeply felt.

From savory dishes served by our phenomenal food truck vendors to the smooth sounds delivered by talented local artists, every element of the festival was a tribute to the richness of our culture and the strength of our community. Guests explored, danced, dined, and connected—all while celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels our neighborhoods.
