Spreading Joy and Support Monarch Awards Foundation, Inc.'s Spring EggStravaganza Brings the Community Together

In a celebration of spring and community spirit, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® – Xi Nu Omega Chapter, in partnership with the Monarch Awards Foundation, Inc., hosted its annual Spring EggStravaganza—a signature event that continues to uplift and support families across Chicago.

This year’s EggStravaganza was more than just a festive gathering. It was a heartfelt initiative that brought smiles to children and families through interactive games, traditional springtime fun, and the distribution of essential support items. Students at Pershing STEAM Magnet School received cheerful spring baskets filled with goodies, while families at the Family Rescue Domestic Violence Shelter were gifted spring essential baskets to help meet their seasonal needs.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community connection and compassion. By combining joy with service, Xi Nu Omega and the Monarch Awards Foundation continue to foster a sense of belonging and resilience among those we serve.
