The Heart of ESP: An Extraordinary Service Program
Alpha Kappa Alpha responds to the contemporary needs of the Black community with comprehensive non-traditional programs.
The ESP vision embraces a five-pronged program designed to excite, galvanize and ignite the passions of more than 180,000 members worldwide.
The goal is to transfer this enthusiasm into a collective resolve to parlay members' talents, energy and creativity to realize Alpha Kappa Alpha's enormous potential for empowerment, security and progress.
Drawing from the Sorority's tremendous reservoir of strength and commitment to serve, this extraordinary service program will have an immediate impact on its members, constituents and the broader community and powerful results well into the future.

The Monarch Awards Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides outreach assistance in various communities throughout Chicago, Illinois, and it's surrounding Suburbs..
One of the Foundation’s signature programs is The Teen Esteem Program™.
Each year the Foundation accepts applications from teenage young ladies ranging in age 14-18 years in order to provide them with mentors and role models for a full calendar year. As the young ladies graduate from high school and attend college, they are monitored and tracked in order to note their successes.
The Foundations purpose is centered on the following with their mentorship of The Teen Esteem girls: Economic Empowerment, Scholastic Achievement, Service within the Community, Youth Leadership, Self Esteem and Strong Moral Character.
In addition to community service, the Foundation also prides itself in the philanthropic contributions it makes to worthy entities each year under our various targets such as:
EDUCATION - United Negro College Fund, Historically Black Universities (Direct Funding), Educational Advancement Foundation, Ivy Reading Academy (tutoring with grammar school students);
HEALTH - Sickle Cell Anemia, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Stroger Hospital “Car Seats Save Lives”, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, American Stroke Association, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Vision House, and Deborah’s Place;
COMMUNITY - Salvation Army, Englewood Food Pantry Network, Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, Angel Tree Christmas Toy Drive;
ECONOMICS - VITA program (Free tax preparation in low income communities during tax season) Youth Financial Literacy seminars.
