to the official website of Xi Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! Xi Nu Omega Chapter was chartered on July 9, 1982 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. The chapter has contributed greatly in the Chicagoland area through our programs and projects designed to implement our international focus.
On January 15, 1908 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University, Washington, D.C. and its main purpose is service to all mankind. Xi Nu Omega Chapter upholds this principle through the implementation of the sorority?s current international program of Economics, Sisterhood and Partnerships. The chapter focuses on service in the following areas: The Non-Traditional Entrepreneur; Economic Keys to Success; the Economic Growth of the Black Family; and Health Resource Management and Economics. These platforms are administered at various schools, churches, or community agencies via workshops, forums, fairs, or service in collaboration and/or partnership with other agencies and organizations.
Our membership is composed of a dynamic group of college educated, professional women who represent the fields of education, medical, legal, business, political, public administration, communications, and social services.
